large
ham meat and bone
or 4 ham hocks
8
cups
water

cups
dry white beans
no pre-soaking
1
onion
chopped
3-4
carrots
chopped
2-3
celery stalks
chopped
1
Tbsp.
Better Than Bouillon
chicken base
dash of pepper
Instructions
This is optional: but I like to use the Saute setting on the instant pot and saute the onion, carrots, and celery for 3 minutes.
Then, turn off the saute setting and add all the rest of the ingredients.
Set instant pot to Manual for 65 minutes.
After the timer goes off, let it set an additional 10 minutes or do a natural release.
Serve by itself, or with your favorite cornbread or biscuits.
