Aimee’s Weekly Grocery Haul and Menu Plan

This week’s grocery haul is crazy and so not the normal! I have been getting us ready for our May NO SPEND CHALLENGE! If you would like to join the fun, here is the post on that…

MAY – NO SPEND CHALLENGE

Anyways, so this week’s spending at 4 different stores is not the norm at all, but I have been saving some of my grocery money each week to get ready for this, so my spending this week was incredibly increased. My normal weekly grocery budget for our family of 6 (3 of us are gluten-free) is $140 per week. I used the cash that I had saved, so I am super happy with my purchases. Here is the breakdown:

Aldi’s Trip: Spent $116.01

My Favorite Deals:

Raspberries: $1.49 each

Strawberries: $.89 each

Greek Yogurt Cups: $.25 each

 Foods Co. Trip: Spent $50.73

Favorite Deals:

Watermelon: $.25/lb = $3.14

Red Bag Produce: Clearanced at $.99 per bag = 10 bell peppers for $1.98

4 Loaves of Bread: $.50 each clearanced price

Kroger Brand Frozen Waffles: $.99 each

Pinto Beans: $.50/lb = $2.30

Foster Farms Chicken Thighs: $.67/lb

Italian and Country Sausage: Clearanced at $1.49 each

WIC Items: FREE

We adopted our son 1 year ago. We found out with our girl’s adoption that even after they are adopted and out of the foster care system, they get to keep their WIC until they age out at 5. So our son gets to continue to be on WIC for 1 more year. We are very thankful for this.

Costco Trip: Spent $81.50

Favorite Deals:

RX Bars: 12 bars for $16.99 much cheaper and one of the only snack bars I can eat

99 Cent Store Trip: Spent $24.42

Favorite Deals:

EVERYTHING!!!! It was all just $.99 each!

GRAND TOTAL FOR THE WEEK: $272.66 all CASH from saving grocery money!
